Real Madrid are reportedly considering launching another bid for Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz next summer.
Los Blancos were linked with a move for the Spain international during the recent transfer window, with James Rodriguez said to hold the key to a potential deal.
James ultimately remained at the Bernabeu, though, and Ruiz stayed with Napoli despite a host of speculation surrounding the former Real Betis playmaker.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the capital giants are still interested in the 23-year-old and could launch a move at the end of the 2019-20 campaign.
Barcelona have also been linked with a move for Ruiz, but it has recently been reported that the midfielder might have blown his chances of the Spanish champions launching an offer.
Indeed, Barca director of football Eric Abidal is said to have been unimpressed with Ruiz's decision to provoke the home fans while celebrating his goal against Lecce in Serie A at the weekend.
