Report: Gareth Bale to stay at Real Madrid

Gareth Bale will turn down the chance to return to the Premier League and stay at Real Madrid this summer, according to a report.

Gareth Bale will reportedly stay at Real Madrid this summer rather than seek a return to the Premier League.

The 25-year-old became the most expensive player in the world when Real paid £86m to sign him from Tottenham Hotspur in September 2013.

However, the Wales international has been subjected to heavy criticism for his recent performances from Real supporters and the Spanish press.

Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea are all thought to have enquired about the midfielder's availability.

However, Bale is determined to stay at Santiago Bernabeu and win over the Real supporters, according to the Daily Mail.

The report adds that he wants to convince supporters that he can go on to be one of the club's greats.

Bale has scored 38 goals in 78 games for Real.
