AC Milan are reportedly preparing a summer move for Real Madrid midfielder Asier Illarramendi.
The 24-year-old joined Los Blancos from Real Sociedad in the summer of 2013, but the Spaniard has struggled to make his mark at the Bernabeu.
Talk of a loan move in January gathered pace in the weeks leading up to the winter transfer window, but nothing came to light.
According to IlSussidiario, Milan are firm admirers of the midfielder and are prepared to make a 'significant' offer to convince Real Madrid to sanction a move.
Illarramendi has made 26 appearances for his current club this season, but it is understood that he is not in the long-term plans of head coach Carlo Ancelotti.
