Rotherham United have been charged by the Football League for fielding ineligible player.
The Millers are alleged to have breached rules by playing Farrend Rawson during their 1-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion in the Championship on April 6.
Rotherham are currently in 21st place in the table, seven points clear of the relegation zone.
"The matter will be heard by a Football Disciplinary Commission which will take place at the earliest possible opportunity to ensure that it reaches its conclusion before the end of the current season," read an official Football League statement.
Rotherham are back in action on Wednesday when they make the trip to Fulham in the league.
