Sheffield Wednesday manager Dave Jones has predicted that there will be a quiet transfer market in the Championship this summer.
The Owls, who finished 18th in the table last season, are yet to make a new signing.
Jones has said that he does not expect much activity from Championship clubs between now and the beginning of the new campaign.
"Business will really start towards the end of this month and early next month, but clubs don't have a lot of income over the summer and don't really want to be taking on extra wages," he told the club's official website.
"That's why the market has been really dormant so far. There's been the odd few moves but not too many and we expected that.
"We know what we want to do and where we need to strengthen so we can build on last season."
Wednesday have recently been linked with a move for former Bolton Wanderers striker Kevin Davies.
