Southampton's record signing Sofiane Boufal took part in his first full training session today following a spell on the sidelines with a knee injury.
The 23-year-old has not yet featured in Claude Puel's team since his reported £16m transfer from Lille at the end of August, but his fitness has improved.
For the first time, Boufal trained with his teammates at the Staplewood Campus today.
"I am very, very happy to be back in training," the Morocco international told the club's official website. "It's a moment that I've been waiting for. I've been working really hard to get back to this point today, so it is very satisfying to get back out on the training pitch with the rest of the group.
"It will take time, as this is just my first training session. I've got a fortnight now to really work with the group and the manager, and after that we will see how things are going as to when the first match will be for me.
"I feel very good. As I say, I have worked really well with the physios and the physical trainers, and today I feel good, I feel fresh, I feel strong and I am happy to be back out on the pitch."
The Saints' next game will be at home to Burnley on October 16.
