Jay Rodriguez 'to hold Southampton talks'

Southampton forward Jay Rodriguez will hold talks with head coach Claude Puel on Wednesday afternoon to determine his future, according to a report.

Jay Rodriguez will reportedly hold talks with Southampton manager Claude Puel on Wednesday afternoon to determine his future.

The 27-year-old has battled back from injury to make himself available for the 2016-17 campaign, but it is understood that the forward is not in the plans of Puel, who brought Sofiane Boufal to the club earlier this week.

West Bromwich Albion, Sunderland and Hull City have all previously been credited with an interest in the former Burnley striker and according to the Daily Mail, talks will take place later this afternoon to decide Rodriguez's future.

The England international has netted 29 times in 92 appearances for Southampton, including their equaliser in the 1-1 draw with Sunderland in the Premier League at the weekend.
