James Ward-Prowse believes that Southampton are capable of staying in form and finishing the season in a Champions League place.
Ronald Koeman's side moved up to third in the Premier League table following Saturday's 1-0 win over Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road.
Many tipped the Saints to be fighting for relegation this season following the exodus of first-team players last summer, but they have lost just seven out of 24 league games.
"There's a lot of people in the summer who doubted us and didn't think we'd be where we were today, but we've got the qualities, we've got the fighting spirit, we've got the right mentality and it's just a case of making sure we carry that on for the next 14 games or so to ensure that we are there or thereabouts come the end of the season," the Daily Echo quotes Ward-Prowse as saying.
Southampton's next game is at home to West Ham United tomorrow evening.
