Feyenoord have reportedly indicated that they are keen to re-sign midfielder Jordy Clasie from Southampton.
Clasie left Feyenoord to move to St Mary's in 2015, but the Netherlands international does not feature in the plans of Mark Hughes after spending the second half of the last campaign on loan at Club Brugge.
According to Sky Sports News, that has resulted in Feyenoord making an attempt to secure a season-long loan deal for the 27-year-old.
However, Southampton would allegedly prefer to part ways with Clasie on a permanent deal in order to recoup some of the £8m transfer fee which they shelled out three years ago.
Clasie - who has made a total of 48 outings for the Premier League side - still has two years remaining on his contract.
