Vicente del Bosque 'unlikely' to coach again

Vicente del Bosque, who has stood down from his role with Spain, admits that he is 'unlikely' to return to coaching.

Vicente del Bosque has conceded that he is 'unlikely' to return to coaching after stepping down as Spain boss.

The 65-year-old took control of Spain after their Euro 2008 triumph and led La Roja to success at both the 2010 World Cup and European Championships in 2012.

Spain failed to make it out of the group stages at the 2014 World Cup, however, and exited Euro 2016 in the round of 16 after losing to Antonio Conte's Italy side.

Despite efforts to convince Del Bosque to remain with La Roja, the experienced manager stood down from his position and has suggested that he will now retire from the sport.

"You can't be absolutely certain, but I don't think I'll return to coaching," Del Bosque told Cuatro.

Del Bosque started his managerial career with Real Madrid and has also been in charge of Turkish outfit Besiktas.
