Hugo Lloris: 'Tottenham Hotspur need to refocus following Besiktas draw'

Hugo Lloris concedes that Tottenham Hotspur were rightly held to a draw by Besiktas in their Europa League meeting.

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has urged his teammates to "refocus" their attention on the Premier League after being held to a 1-1 draw by Besiktas.

Spurs were denied all three points late on when Demba Ba converted from the spot to cancel out Harry Kane's first-half opener this evening.

Mauricio Pochettino's side return to domestic action on the weekend when Southampton visit White Hart Lane, where they will be looking to put their Europa League disappointment behind them.

"It was a tough game against a big Turkish team and maybe the teams deserved to draw," Lloris told ITV Sport. "It's football - sometimes you don't play a great game but you have to know how to win.

"Today we went close but we conceded that late penalty. But now we have to refocus on a big game on Sunday."

Tottenham drop down to third place in Group E following the draw.
