Andre Villas-Boas expects eventful game at the Etihad Stadium

Andre Villas-Boas says that he expects Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur to share lots of chances in today's Premier League clash at the Etihad Stadium.

Andre Villas-Boas has said that there is a "buzz" about the Tottenham Hotspur camp ahead of today's game against Manchester City.

The North London side are currently seventh in the Premier League and will launch themselves into the Champions League places if they can win at the Etihad Stadium.

"We have high ambitions for this season," the Portuguese coach told reporters. "We want to do well. We want to win the game against City and that's our main aim, to focus and achieve that result.

"You can feel the buzz. Mentally, the players go up a level, and that's normal. It's a big stage and a game against big players. We'll go there to play the game, to try to attack them but with the understanding that their potential at home is extraordinary.

"We can expect an open game with chances created by both sides. They have found a deadliness in terms of finishing that we haven't yet found, and that's important. But we create chances and we have to make sure we're as deadly as them and finish situations off."

Spurs lost at home to Newcastle United before the recent international break.
