Tottenham Hotspur's Eric Dier wary of "impressive" Bournemouth

Eric Dier says that Tottenham Hotspur need to be wary of "impressive" Bournemouth in this Sunday's game at White Hart Lane.

Eric Dier has warned Tottenham Hotspur that they cannot afford to switch off against Bournemouth when the two sides go head to head on Sunday at White Hart Lane.

Spurs are currently second in the Premier League table, five points behind leaders Leicester City with eight games left to play.

Bournemouth have spent the majority of the season at the other end of the table, but are close to securing safety as they are 13 points above the drop zone.

"Bournemouth have been really impressive and credit to them, they play a good brand of football and they have carried themselves very well in their first season in the Premier League," Dier told the club's official website.

"They are on a great run and pretty much safe now, so they will play with freedom as well and with us being up at the top everyone will want to beat us, so we have to be at our best. We have to match them for energy, attitude, willingness and then hopefully our quality will take over."

Spurs earned a 5-1 win over Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium in October.
