Vincent Janssen has revealed that he had the chance to join another Premier League club before making the move to Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.
Spurs parted with £17m to sign Janssen from AZ in the summer, and the Netherlands international has scored three times in 13 appearances for the London club this season.
The 22-year-old has claimed that he could have moved to Wolfsburg or another unnamed English club, but only wanted to join Mauricio Pochettino's side after learning of their interest.
"There were clubs willing to pay even more money than Spurs but I immediately told AZ: 'I just want Spurs and not a club that might be offering you more.' That was not a club in the desert but clubs in good leagues, such as Wolfsburg. And a club in the Premier League," Janssen told Helden.
Janssen has only managed one Premier League goal this season and that came from the penalty spot.
