Report: Tim Sherwood on Newcastle United's radar

Tottenham Hotspur boss Tim Sherwood is reportedly on Newcastle United's radar as a possible replacement for Alan Pardew should he depart the club in the summer.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Tim Sherwood is in the running to succeed Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew if he leaves the club in the summer, according to a report.

Sherwood is reportedly poised to leave his post at the end of the season as Spurs are keen to add an experienced boss to replace him, but he might not be out of work for long as the 45-year-old is on the Magpies' radar.

Pressure is growing on Pardew at St James' Park following a run of five straight defeats despite their mid-table placing in the Premier League, and owner Mike Ashley is eyeing Sherwood as a possible replacement should he decide to sack the 52-year-old, reports the Daily Mail.

Pardew has been in charge at Newcastle since December 2010.
