Tottenham Hotspur are finalising a contract offer for Nuno Espirito Santo, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly finalising a contract offer for Nuno Espirito Santo, with the Portuguese emerging as the clear favourite to become the club's next head coach.

Spurs have been frustrated in their pursuit of a number of candidates this summer, as the capital outfit look to name a long-term replacement for Jose Mourinho.

Nuno is now believed to be at the head of the queue for the position, and according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Spurs are now working on the final contract details for the former Wolverhampton Wanderers boss.

The 47-year-old left his role with Wolves at the end of the 2020-21 campaign, having led the club to the 2017-18 Championship title before securing three straight seasons in the Premier League.

Romano claims that Nuno is wanted by new Tottenham director of football Fabio Paratici, who had previously been keen to bring the Portuguese to Juventus.

A recent report suggested that the former Porto goalkeeper would target a move for Conor Coady if he is confirmed as the North London side's new head coach.
