New Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has opened the door for Gareth Bale to be given a new lease of life at the club.
The Wales international endured a frosty relationship with recently-resigned manager Zinedine Zidane, which culminated in him re-joining Tottenham Hotspur on loan for the 2020-21 season.
Bale has refused to discuss his future while he focuses on Wales' preparations for their Euro 2020 campaign, but Ancelotti is confident that the attacker can reignite his Los Blancos career next term.
Speaking to reporters during his first press conference at the Bernabeu, Ancelotti said: "Gareth has not played much, but he has scored a lot of goals.
"I know him very well and he is coming back. If he has the motivation to play, he can have a [good] season, I have no doubts."
Bale enjoyed a fruitful season back in North London with 16 goals and three assists in 34 appearances across all competitions, and his brace on the final day of the Premier League season against Leicester City helped Spurs seal a place in the inaugural Europa Conference League.
