Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that Christian Eriksen will remain with the club this summer if he does not complete a transfer before Sunday's clash with Arsenal.
The Denmark international has been strongly linked with a move away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer, with his contract due to expire at the end of the 2019-20 season.
Eriksen can still join another European club before Monday night's transfer deadline, but Pochettino has said that the 27-year-old will stay put unless a deal goes through before the London derby.
"The good thing is that if tomorrow (Sunday) nothing happens, it's because it's not going to happen on Monday," Pochettino told reporters.
"On Sunday, it's the game [against Arsenal], and after there's no real time to do something. Tomorrow we are going to know if Christian is going to be with us or not. That's the most important thing."
Eriksen, who has only started one of Tottenham's three Premier League matches at the start of the new season, has reportedly set his sights on joining either Barcelona, Real Madrid or Juventus.
Spurs will enter Sunday's clash with Arsenal two points behind their bitter rivals in the Premier League table.
