Borussia Monchengladbach defender Matthias Ginter is wanted by Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur, according to a report.

Real Madrid are reportedly preparing to battle Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur for the signature of Borussia Monchengladbach defender Matthias Ginter.

The 27-year-old's contract with his German club is due to expire next June, and it is understood that the centre-back is considering leaving Borussia-Park on a free transfer.

According to Calciomercato, Real Madrid are interested in bringing the Germany international to the Bernabeu, with the club looking to add at least one new centre-back next summer.

However, the report claims that Bayern and Tottenham are also showing an interest in Ginter, who has made four Bundesliga appearances at the start of the 2021-22 campaign.

The German joined Gladbach from Borussia Dortmund in July 2017 and has made 152 appearances for the club in all competitions, contributing 10 goals and five assists.

Real Madrid allowed long-serving captain Sergio Ramos to leave the club on a free transfer over the summer, while Raphael Varane was sold to Manchester United.
