Liam Ridgewell has urged West Bromwich Albion teammate Jonas Olsson to stay at the club amid rumours of a possible transfer for the Swedish defender.
Olsson, who has only one year left on his Baggies contract, has been linked with moves to both Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United.
"Jonas is a quality player for us," Ridgewell told the Sunday Mercury. "I've played next to him now for some time and you want to keep your best players.
"We hope he'll commit his future to the club because I think it's going to be an exciting time for us.
"To keep Jonas Olsson at our club would be a fantastic gesture on the club's part."
Olsson arrived at the Hawthorns from Dutch side NEC Nijmegen in 2008 for around £800,000.
