Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly still on course to completing the club-record signing of Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon, despite late interest from Juventus.
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas denied rumours on Thursday that an agreement is already in place with Spurs.
Reports then emerged suggesting that Juve could hijack Tottenham's bid for the 22-year-old midfielder, who is expected to cost £72m with add-ons.
Football.London claims that Spurs are in the final stages of wrapping up the transfer, however, and the Frenchman is expected to be confirmed as a Tottenham player early next week.
Ndombele will surpass Davinson Sanchez, a £42m signing from Ajax in August 2017, as the Lilywhites' record all-time signing.
