Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly willing to sell Toby Alderweireld to Roma this summer if it helps their bid to bring Nicolo Zaniolo to North London.
Alderweireld has just one year remaining on his contract with the Champions League runners-up and is available for just £25m due to a buy-out clause in his contract which expires on July 25.
However, there has been a lack of interest in the Belgian centre-back since last summer, when he was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United.
The Daily Mail reports that Roma have now expressed an interest in Alderweireld, though, and Spurs are keen to cash in on the 30-year-old rather than losing him on a free transfer next summer.
Mauricio Pochettino is looking to raise funds in order to be able to secure his remaining transfer targets following the signings of Tanguy Ndombele and Jack Clarke.
Tottenham are particularly hopeful that Roma's desire to sign Alderweireld could aid their interest in 20-year-old midfielder Zaniolo, for whom the Italian outfit are demanding £40m following a breakthrough campaign at the Stadio Olimpico.
Despite the club-record acquisition of Ndombele, Pochettino is understood to still be in the market for midfield reinforcements due to the uncertainty over Christian Eriksen's future.
