Tottenham Hotspur 'lining up new contract for Son Heung-min'

Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly reward Son Heung-min's impressive form with a bumper new contract, while Erik Lamela and Serge Aurier's futures must also be decided.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly determined to tie Son Heung-min down to a new deal in North London.

The 28-year-old has become a key figure for Spurs over the past few seasons and already boasts seven goals and two assists to his name from five Premier League outings this term.

Son's stellar form is reportedly going to see him rewarded with a bumper new deal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with the South Korea captain currently contracted to Spurs until 2023.

According to the Daily Mail, the Lilywhites are prioritising Son's proposed new deal as a matter of urgency, and the attacker can look forward to an increase on the £150k-a-week wages he currently earns with Jose Mourinho's side.

The report also claims that Spurs want to begin negotiations with Erik Lamela and Serge Aurier over their expiring contracts as well, but the North London outfit are keen for Son to pen fresh terms before focusing on other players.

Son bagged a goal and an assist against West Ham United but was unable to prevent Spurs from throwing away a 3-0 lead to draw 3-3 with the Hammers at the weekend, with Mourinho's men now gearing up for a Europa League showdown with LASK on Thursday.
