Napoli midfielder Amadou Diawara has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs are yet to make any new signings during the January window and although Mauricio Pochettino has publicly insisted that he is not desperate for new arrivals, the Argentine remains watchful of potential targets.
According to CalcioNapoli24, Pochettino is an admirer of Diawara and is allegedly prepared to spend as much as £33m in order to sign the 20-year-old.
The defensive midfielder has made just seven starts in Serie A and the Champions League this season, but the Guinean is regarded as one of the best prospects currently playing in Europe.
While not always including Diawara in his starting lineup, manager Maurizio Sarri and the club value the player and are not keen on parting ways midway through the campaign.
