Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering whether to make a late swoop for in-form Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering a late swoop for Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke in the final stages of the January transfer window.

Solanke is currently enjoying a successful 2023-24 campaign, having scored 12 goals in 20 Premier League appearances.

After scoring five goals in six league appearances in December, Solanke became the first Bournemouth individual to win the Premier League Player of the Month award.

As a result of his impressive form, the 26-year-old was allegedly the subject of an enquiry by Newcastle United earlier this month.

While Bournemouth rebuffed Newcastle's approach, the Cherries could still face a fight to keep their star striker beyond the end of the transfer window.

According to The Sun, Tottenham are weighing whether to make a late bid to sign Solanke before the transfer window slams shut on Thursday.

Spurs are still searching for a long-term replacement for Harry Kane, who completed a move to German champions Bayern Munich in the summer.

Although Ange Postecoglou can call upon the likes of Richarlison and Son Heung-min, the Tottenham boss is seemingly keen to bring in a proven number nine.

Having identified Solanke as a potential target, Spurs must now decide whether to test Bournemouth's resolve in the final days of the January market.

However, it would take a significant bid to persuade the Cherries to part ways with one of their prized assets at this late stage of the window.

The South Coast side are in a strong position when it comes to negotiating a transfer, with Solanke under contract until the summer of 2027.

The Cherries are said to be scouring the French and Belgian top flight for potential replacements should they decide to sanction a sale.

As it stands, Solanke will lead the line for Andoni Iraola's side when they travel to the London Stadium for Thursday's meeting with West Ham United.
