Stoke City forward Peter Crouch has been earmarked for a move to Burnley, according to reports.
The 37-year-old has spent the last seven years on the books at the bet365 Stadium but has slipped down the pecking order.
Crouch scored two goals in his last six games of the 2017-18 season but could not prevent Stoke from dropping to the Championship.
According to The Sun, however, the former England striker may make a swift return to the Premier League given interest from last season's surprise package in the top flight.
The report claims that Sean Dyche has prepared a £500,000 deal in a bid to prise the tall striker away from the Potteries before the transfer deadline on August 9.
Crouch, who has enjoyed a fruitful career with the likes of Southampton, Portsmouth, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, has one year remaining on his Stoke contract.
