Swansea City's Kyle Bartley to undergo knee surgery

Swansea City boss Garry Monk confirms that Kyle Bartley will be out for six weeks as he requires knee surgery.

Swansea City manager Garry Monk has confirmed that defender Kyle Bartley will be out of action for around six weeks as he is due to undergo a knee operation.

The 23-year-old, who joined the Welsh club from Arsenal in 2012, suffered a tear during a training session.

In today's press conference, Monk confirmed that Bartley will go under the knife today and will not be available for over a month.

Bartley has made nine appearances so far this season.
