Sports Mole previews Saturday's Premier League clash between Swansea City and Manchester City at the Liberty Stadium.

Swansea City will attempt to end their dreadful run of form when they welcome former Premier League champions Manchester City to the Liberty Stadium on Saturday.

The Welsh outfit, who secured the League Cup trophy earlier in the year, are currently on the poorest run of form in the division having taken just two points from their last six matches.

A successful campaign thus far has left them in ninth position in the table, but they will be wary of dropping out of the top half, with just three points separating them from 13th-placed Southampton.

City, who are not mathematically certain of securing second position in the table, will be keen to close the gap on Manchester United, who have already secured the league title.

Roberto Mancini's side have won four of their last five matches in all competitions, but they suffered a 1-0 defeat to Swansea in the corresponding fixture in this stadium last season.

Swansea boss Michael Laudrup could continue with the same side that lost to Chelsea last time out, although Neil Taylor could be handed a start as he continues his recovery from a long-term injury.

Nathan Dyer is also pushing for a recall in place of Wayne Routledge, but Luke Moore should continue on the bench.

City, meanwhile, could ring the changes with Javi Garcia, Edin Dzeko and Aleksandar Kolarov pushing for starts. Scott Sinclair could also be handed the chance to impress, but David Silva is expected to start on the bench as he recovers from a niggling injury.

Recent form:

Swansea: LLDDL

Manchester City: WWWLW

Possible lineups:

Swansea: Vorm; Rangel, Chico, Williams, Davies; Britton, De Guzman, Ki; Routledge, Michu, Hernandez

Manchester City: Hart; Zabaleta, Kompany, Lescott, Clichy; Toure, Garcia, Nasri; Aguero, Tevez, Dzeko

Sports Mole says: 1-2
