Nicolas Anelka has joined Indian Super League side Mumbai City FC as a player-manager.
The former Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool striker replaces Peter Reid in the dugout, while also prolonging his playing career in a second stint at the club.
An ex-teammate of Anelka, Freddie Ljunberg, was announced as Mumbai's marquee player last season, but that role now belongs to the Frenchman who will pocket an increased wage.
