Australian side Newcastle Jets are reportedly eager to sign former England international Emile Heskey.
The centre-forward has been without a club since leaving Premier League outfit Aston Villa at the end of last season.
He has been linked with a host of clubs both in England and abroad, but as yet no deal has been reached.
The Jets are now believed to be the frontrunners for his signature, with their officials in London for talks with the 34-year-old's representatives, according to the Newcastle Herald.
Heskey made 62 appearances during an 11-year international career.
