Real Sociedad ease past Valencia

Goals from Ruben Pardo and Antonine Griezmann were enough for Real Sociedad against Valencia in La Liga this evening.

Real Sociedad have beaten Valencia 2-1 in La Liga this evening.

Goals from Antoine Griezmann and Ruben Pardo were enough for Jagoba Arrasate's side, despite Dorlan Pabon registering for Valencia late on.

Griezmann opened the scoring four minutes before the break when he finished off a move which started with a through ball from David Zurutuza.

Pardo added the second just before the hour mark when Carlos Vela teed him and he stuck away a right-footed effort into the corner.

Jeremy Mathieu almost pulled one back for Los Che, but his effort flew just wide after he was put in by Fede's cross.

The home side did open their tally in the final minute through Pabon, but it was a case of too little too late.

The win moves Sociedad up to ninth in La Liga.
