West Brom goalkeeper Ben Foster has backed skipper Zoltan Gera to return from injury stronger than ever.
The Hungarian international only made his second start for the club at the beginning of November after overcoming an ankle injury, but he will now miss the rest of the season after suffering a ruptured anterior ligament in his left knee.
"It's a big blow for Zoltan. I could see from where it was that it was going to be a bad one," said Foster.
"I know what he is going through having suffered a cruciate ligament injury twice myself – at Stoke and then Manchester United.
"It's horrible but both times I've come back strongly and Zoltan will come back from this and be a better player for it. He's got the right attitude and mentality."
West Brom travel to QPR in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
