Wigan Athletic skipper Gary Caldwell has praised Scotland's squad depth ahead of their friendly match with Australia on Wednesday.
The 30-year-old, who has 48 caps to his name, also believes that the crop of players emerging are the best he has seen for Scotland.
"You just need to look at the squad list and see the amount of players playing in the Premiership in England and the Championship, which is a fantastic league," he told reporters.
"I think the overall quality in the players that are getting picked is better than the groups I have been involved in in the past."
Scotland's qualification campaign for the 2014 World Cup begins in September.
