Everton are reportedly weighing up a surprise bid for Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Kevin Doyle, according to Sky Sports.
The Toffees have been short of firepower this season, with strikers Louis Saha, Victor Anichebe and Apostolos Vellios having only netted six league goals between them.
This shyness in front of goal has left manager David Moyes looking for alternative attacking options, with Doyle an apparent target.
Doyle was linked with a move to the Merseyside club in the summer and with just three days left in the January transfer window, it appears Everton have ignited their interest.
The Irishman has scored just two league goals for Wolves this term after losing a regular place in the side due to the form of Steven Fletcher.
