Wolverhampton Wanderers have expressed an interest in signing Southampton striker Sam Gallagher on loan, according to reports.
The 21-year-old recently signed a long-term contract at St Mary's, but the Premier League outfit are reportedly keen for him to spend another season out on loan.
During the 2016-17 campaign, he netted 11 times in 43 league appearances for Blackburn Rovers, but could not prevent their drop to League One.
According to the Express & Star, Gallagher has been on Wolves' radar for some time, and they are hopeful of pipping several Championship rivals to bring him to Molineux.
Wolves have already signed nine players this summer, with Atletico Madrid winger Diogo Jota set to be the 10th should he complete a season-long loan move as has been widely reported.
