Mercedes driver Michael Schumacher has launched a verbal attack on Pirelli for supplying tyres with high degradation.
The seven-time world champion believes that the Italian-based manufacturers, who were called on to re-design the tyres in order to improve the racing spectacle, are not helping Formula 1.
"I had to drive at a pace to manage the tyres to finish with tyres left over," BBC Sport quotes Schumacher as saying. "We should question whether that should be the case.
"It's unsatisfying and not what a Formula 1 event should be. If 80 or 90% complain, maybe Pirelli should think about it. I don't think it is right only one or two teams can handle it and the rest struggle so much."
The German driver finished 10th in the Bahrain Grand Prix on Sunday, with Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel taking the top spot on the podium.
