Former Chelsea and AC Milan striker Andriy Shevchenko's golf debut has ended miserably after he missed the cut at the Kharkov Superior Cup.
The 36-year-old began his bow on the Challenge Tour with a first-round 84, shooting just one birdie on the course.
Today the former European footballer of the year had a worse round by carding 86, ending his stint 26 over par and 40 shots off the lead.
Shevchenko retired from football at the end of the European Championships last year.
