American golfer Brandt Snedeker wins the Canadian Open by three shots.

Brandt Snedeker has won the Canadian Open in Oakville, Ontario, by three shots to claim his sixth PGA Tour title.

The 32-year-old was pushed by Dustin Johnson until a triple bogey at the 17th ended any hope that he had of winning.

However, Johnson did manage to birdie the final hole to finish in a four-way tie for second alongside William McGirt, Matt Kuchar and Jason Bohn, who had missed a birdie putt at 18.

Snedeker ended up posting a final-round total of 70, which got him to 17-under-par for the week at Glen Abbey.

It is his second victory of the season following success in the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am in February. He has now moved into third place in the FedEx Cup standings.
