Television host Piers Morgan has jokingly blamed former England batsman Kevin Pietersen for US network CNN cancelling his talk show.
The 48-year-old unleashed a staunch defence of the cricketer on Twitter when the England and Wales Cricket Board decided to drop the batsman from future squads.
It emerged this week that CNN have decided to axe 'Piers Morgan Live' after three years due to a drop in ratings, and the former editor of The Mirror gave his light-hearted response on the social networking website.
He wrote, "morning everyone! ps. I blame Kevin Pietersen," along with a YouTube video of Monty Python's 'Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life'.
Pietersen responded to Morgan's axe by tweeting: "How can you do this #CNN? What a disgrace! #CNNclowns #BringBackPiers."
