Gloucester director of rugby Nigel Davies has admitted that he is happy with his side's display despite their defeat to Saracens on Sunday.
The Gloucestershire outfit were forced to play with 14 men at Allianz Park following Nick Wood's sending-off after 73 seconds that saw them go on to lose 44-12 in the Aviva Premiership.
Despite the defeat, Davies is pleased with the way his side battled for 78 minutes with 14 men compared to their loss with a full team the previous weekend.
"In a bizarre way I'm a lot happier about the way we went about our business with 14 players this weekend than we did with 15 last weekend," Davies said in his press conference.
"It was always going to be a tough ask to come here and we were in the right frame of mind and the boys showed that to carry on the way they did.
"We're not where we want to be after two games, but I'm confident this team will start winning sooner rather than later. Right now we're in a tough place, but the boys won't let their heads drop."
Gloucester are currently bottom of the Premiership table after two games.
