Daniel Wallace claims Scotland silver in 200m medley

Scotland's Daniel Wallace seals a silver medal after finishing behind record-breaking Daniel Tranter in the 200m medley.

Scotland swimmer Daniel Wallace has won his second medal of the Commonwealth Games by claiming silver in tonight's 200m medley final.

The 21-year-old finished in second behind Australia's Daniel Tranter, who set a Games record after clocking a winning time of 1:57.83.

Chad le Clos, nicknamed the 'Phelps-Slayer' after beating Michael Phelps in London 2012, could only manage third place on the podium, despite leading at the midway point.

Wallace has also won gold in the 400m individual medley, while also helping Team Scotland to silver in the 4x200m freestyle relay on Sunday.
