Andy Murray: 'I'm close to more Grand Slam glory'

Andy Murray insists that he is almost at the level needed to win another Grand Slam following his narrow loss to Novak Djokovic in the French Open semi-finals.

Andy Murray has insisted that he is close to winning another Grand Slam despite losing to Novak Djokovic in the French Open semi-finals.

The Brit was beaten in five sets by the world number one, who will face Stanislas Wawrinka in Sunday's final.

Having struggled for fitness last year after undergoing back surgery, Murray believes that he is almost at the level needed to add to his two majors.

"My game is back close to where it needs to be to winning Slams," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "Physically I'm back there again, and obviously now with the grass-court season coming up, hopefully I can get myself an opportunity there and play much better going into the grass this year than I was last year."

Murray enjoyed a successful few weeks leading up to the French Open, winning the first clay-court titles of his career in Munich and Madrid.
