David Goffin battles through at French Open

World number 18 David Goffin comes from behind to beat Filip Krajinovic in round one of the French Open.

David Goffin has come from behind to beat Filip Krajinovic in the opening round of the French Open.

The Belgian world number 18 dropped the first set 3-6, but he recovered to take the second 6-2 to level the match.

An unpredictable third set saw world number 99 Krajinovic race in to a 4-0 lead, only for Goffin to dig in, break back twice and force a tie-break.

The breaker proved to be a one-sided affair as Goffin earned four mini-breaks before closing it out 7-6[3].

From there Goffin cruised to victory, breaking Krajinovic three times to win 3-6 6-2 7-6[3] 6-1 with nearly two-and-a-half hours on the clock.
