Loic Courteau has held talks with Amelie Mauresmo about becoming the latest addition to Andy Murray's team.
Mauresmo remained Murray's coach when the Scot made changes to his staff last month, and the two-time Grand Slam champion is now set to recruit Courteau.
"A few weeks ago, I had discussions with Amelie, who spoke with Andy. I had not been able to talk directly with him," Courteau told L'Equipe.
"[The plan] was to work with him in the year, with a base in England. For the moment, it does not happen. I'm not saying it will not happen, because I do not know."
Courteau is currently working with Julien Benneteau, and he will coach the world number 22 at next month's Australian Open.
