Andy Murray has backed his new coach Ivan Lendl to help him achieve Grand Slam success.
Murray, 24, has been a staple in the world's top four since 2008 but has never won a Grand Slam, despite reaching three finals.
The Scot hopes that Lendl, who suffered similar troubles in finals before going on to win eight Grand Slams, will give him the mental edge required to win a major tournament for the first time.
"The thing I hired him for is to help me improve my game and to help me at the major competitions, somewhere where he's obviously got a lot of experience," said the world number four.
"He was a great player so will obviously have a lot of knowledge about the game. He understands the mental side of it very well, having competed at the highest level, and that's something I haven't had for a while, so I'm sure he'll help with that."
Murray will face Ukraine's Alexandr Dolgopolov in the final of the Brisbane Open tomorrow.
