Novak Djokovic makes light work of Ze Zhang at China Open

Novak Djokovic needs just 55 minutes to see off wildcard Ze Zhang 6-2 6-1 in the third round of the China Open in Beijing.

World number one Novak Djokovic cruised into the quarter-finals of the China Open with a 6-2 6-1 victory over Ze Zhang on Thursday.

Djokovic, whose record at the tournament in Beijing now stands at 26-0, needed less than an hour to dispatch his opponent ranked 218 places below him.

After holding to love to start the match, Djokovic broke Chinese wildcard Ze at the first time of asking before claiming the opener 6-2.

It was a similar story in the second, with Djokovic never looking in trouble on serve and again breaking Ze twice on his way to a 6-1 success.

Up next for Djokovic in the last eight is either sixth-seed John Isner or qualifier John Millman.
