Kyle Edmund, Dan Evans to meet in Dallas Challenger final

Kyle Edmund and Dan Evans both win their last-four matches to set up an all-British final at the Dallas Challenger.

Kyle Edmund and Dan Evans have both reached the final of the Dallas Challenger to set up the first all-British title decider at a second-tier event since 2005.

Despite being beaten in the opening round of the Australian Open, both players have enjoyed an excellent start to 2016 and that continued on Friday as they secured victories over Tatsuma Ito and Tim Smyczek.

Evans suffered a mid-match blip against sixth seed Ito, but he raced through the third set to run out a 6-2 4-6 6-1 victor against the Japanese player.

Edmund was able to come through in straight sets against American Symczek without facing a break point on his serve, with the second seed prevailing 7-5 6-3 against an opponent four places below him in the world rankings.

Saturday's match will represent the first time that two British players have faced each other in a Challenger final since Mark Hilton and Alex Bogdanovic met in Nottingham over a decade ago.
