Andy Murray has said that the Olympics have come around at the "perfect time" following his loss in the Wimbledon final.
The Scot was beaten in four sets by Roger Federer at SW19 - his fourth defeat in a Grand Slam final.
Murray said that he has not had much time away from the court but is confident of bringing his best to the court.
"I think I needed a tournament like this to get ready for and also to get over the disappointment of losing in the final," said Murray.
"It's come at the right time. I've got straight back on the practice courts. After the final I just took a few days off, whereas normally I would spend a bit more time away from the court.
"Practice has been good but I'll have to wait and see how it goes on the match court. I have played a lot of my best tennis at Wimbledon and I don't see why that won't be the case again come the start of the tournament."
Murray was beaten by Chinese Taipei's Lu Yen-Hsun in the first round in Beijing four years ago.
