Dustin Brown has booked his spot in the third round of Wimbledon following a 6-4 6-4 6-7 6-2 victory over veteran Lleyton Hewitt on Wednesday.
The opening set remained on serve until 5-4, when a break of serve allowed Brown to move into a one-set lead, with Hewitt struggling to find his tempo.
Hewitt did secure a break in the opening game of the second, but two more breaks came for Brown as the German moved into a comprehensive lead in front of a lively crowd in London.
Both continued to serve well in the third as the set entered a tie-break, but it was Hewitt that emerged victorious this time around courtesy of a 7-3 score.
That disappointment did nothing to phase Brown, however, with the German securing two breaks before serving for the match against the former world number one.
