Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has defeated Belgian youngster David Goffin in straight sets to book his place in the second round of Wimbledon.
Both players held serve through the opening set before sixth seed Tsonga gained the initiative by winning the tie-break 7-4.
Goffin continued to show the type of strokes that have seen him tipped for the upper reaches of the world rankings, but Tsonga proved too much as he sealed the win 6-4 6-3.
Tsonga's opponent in the third round will be either fellow Frenchman Edouard Roger-Vasselin or Latvia's Ernests Gulbis.
